Congrats, David--you've delivered into the masses another stellar body of work with the release of your new book. Struckman gave you an okay review, imo--I dunno...I thought he seemed a bit too weak with regards to giving credit where credit's due. And way too reserved with dishing out the kudo's!
Struckman: "He doesn't fabricate cohesion from the unrest. He does what good reporters should do: he asks people questions and records their answers. And he gives you his own take, too. It's gutsy stuff."
Well, I guess that's a good start....
I, for one, am very glad that you're out there on the front lines, fighting the good fight. I couldn't wish for a more intelligent, or higher principled advocate than you, boss. And we sure do need as much help as we can muster.
As you well know, it's D-Day and if this country doesn't immediately (or damn near) assume a more progressive/populist style of governing, then it's curtains for this enlightened Grand Experiment.
I tell you what, I'm becoming increasingly disgusted with Hillary Clinton--if ever there were a time to cut the usual BS, and really, truly make your stand for the good ol'U.S.of A, that time is NOW! Why is she sabotaging our chances of reclaiming the White House? Actually, I know why...and that, my friend, is what I find so utterly despicable with her. She's proven to me that she cares about as much for the wellness of our country as does Joe Lieberman. She cares for the wellness of Hillary...period.
When I stop and ponder this disgraceful situation, I'm struck with the thought that things should be going along very differently right now. Imagine how strong & united mainstream America might've been had Hillary chosen to form a united front with Obama, instead of all the petty little shots, and all the lowdown dirty attacks she & Bill have engaged in....it truly breaks my heart.
We, the trodden masses from all across this country, could've rode the most amazing wave of hope & renewal into the White House come November--and then we'd begin the healing, together, as fellow Americans. It would've been glorious.
Now I'm not even sure that the Dems will win--which means McCain will be our next president. That would be a castrophe of destruction & death never before seen here.
We will prevail, though--thanks to people like you, David...and others, too.
