This is pure spin. You think for a moment that either Obama or Hillary who have been big supporters of corporate written free trade legislation actually care about the issue? it's just 'saying anything to get elected' kind of thing.
Besides that both may have just as well taken their economic policy from McCain and the GOP. They are pro off-shoring and out-sourcing. Both want more H1-B, H-2, and L-1 guest visa workers, IOW more labor arbitrage to crush wages for American workers and take away they jobs as well.
Outside of social issues there isn't any difference between the GOP and Democrats. Both are a serious threat to the well being of the working and middle-class.
It's one thing to talk about the trade mess. It's another to actually do something about it. None of the candidate running for office have a vote to run on worth taking pride in. For instance, if Obama hadn't voted yes on extending NAFTA, he would be saying something like this "I voted against extending NAFTA and as president I will work to shut it down." Even when he voted no to CAFTA, neither Obama nor Hillary care to mention it. Let's see some substance not sizzle please.
Slightly OT:
Have you noticed that neither has said shit about fixing or killing the Bankruptcy Reform law that was passed a few years ago?
Now killing it would help a lot of folks get away from both medical bills and other financial disasters. But do you hear anything from the Democrats? no!!
If the truth be known they like big business busting the balls of ordinary people.
Come on David,
It's "election year" so of course the DemoCRAPs have to find an issue to all of a sudden go BOINGY on. Clinton did it in 1992 but betrayed us once in office with NAFTA. Bush Sr. was happy to "lose" to Clinton and let him do all the dirty work of dragging the Democratic Party into the ground if enough of the party didn't do so already.
