Memo to Lanny Davis: Adlai Stevenson Was Never Elected President

In a predictable and yawningly boring screed insisting on the virtues of undemocratic "superdelegates" choosing the Democratic nominee, Clinton backer Lanny Davis delivers this doozy:

"The 'smoke-filled rooms' of Democratic Party leaders had led to the nomination and election of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Adlai Stevenson and John F. Kennedy. Not bad."

Last I checked, Adlai Stevenson was never elected president. Seems a rather easy fact to get right, if you are posing as an "expert." (I'm sure he'll change this when he realizes what an ass he looks like, but it is interesting that a "expert" would make such a foolish, non-typo error like this).
