Clinton Prepares to Try to Steal the Nomination
So says the Boston Globe. Here's the key paragraph:
"Clinton will not concede the race to Obama if he wins a greater number of pledged delegates by the end of the primary season, and will count on the 796 elected officials and party bigwigs to put her over the top, if necessary, said Clinton's communications director, Howard Wolfson."
Get ready for democracy to be trampled...

Discussion
There are still states with big numbers of delegates that Clinton could mathematically win. Besides, the nominee has to attain 2000 something delegate count and neither Clinton or Obama are close. In any case, no matter which of these two are the nominees, the nomination was already stolen a long time ago from Edwards, Kucinich, and Gravel thanks to the party backing the media and allowing them to kick out anyone who dared challenged the corrupt system from debates. When Kucinich was forced out of one of the debates in Nevada by MSNBC, it should already have been cleared that the nomination was rigged from the start. If you are really serious about the trade mess, why don't you praise Ralph Nader for trying and tell the Democrats to stop choking real progressives like Nader.
Hopefully Howard Dean will step in as Party Chair and stop that nonsense.
Hell the Democrats did that by stripping Florida and Michigan of their vote. Even Bush could do that, but the Democratic elite managed to gut the bill of rights for two states with a stroke of a pen and a few phone calls.
And the Dems have the gall to bitch about Bush's transgressions, give me a break.
Besides with the Democrats only putting out two neo-liberal puppets who don't represent the American people, I can't really get to worked up about it.
Both could be eaten by giant squids for all I care.
Chris V,
Howard Dean hasn't done jack shit ever since he's been the DNC chair ! What the fuck makes you think he'll step in at this moment and stop the nonsense?
Frankly, it's time to put the Democrats and Republicans to DEATH by voting them all out come November and replacing them with progressive-leaning Independents.
If Clinton pulls this, there will be a third party run for sure and with a good chance for success. Let's hope she does. And it should be the end of the moribund democratic party.
This is one of the many reasons why I would never vote for her. This is one of the many reasons I will probably be leaving the Democratic party soon. This is one of the many reasons David Sirota should never praise her for ANYTHING. This is one of the many reasons Sherrod Brown looks like a sell out or a FOOL for trusting Hillary.
She is nothing more than the Democratic version of W.
AMEN ACD and ewode !
ewode, Clinton has already created a 3rd party for us ever since she ran. Better yet, the Democratic Party has created a 3rd party, and probably stronger than even 1992, ever since it betrayed the voters after 2006.
As much as David Sirota is against partisan war syndrome, his giving progressive independents like Ralph Nader no show all the while trying to pick a few "bright" spots for these otherwise TAINTED candidates left in the Democratic Party makes me wonder if he too has become a part of the syndrome. I often wonder who Sirota would have supported if a Democrat had run against Sanders and Tarrant. And if Sanders had started out running for Senate without ever having run for Congress, would Sirota have even supported him? I wouldn't have minded voting Democrat but painting a few bright spots about any Democrat all the while OVERLOOKING his or her controversial stands especially on the economy is rather troubling.
