Its all how you look at it. You could say the Lieberman endorsement gave McCain more of a boost thing Oprah.

I think one first has to acknowledge that "independent voters" is what they call an empty abstraction. It encompasses a category from the far left to the far right. It could be a communist, socialist, libertarian, centrist, constitutionalist, nazi, disgruntled liberal or conservative.

I think he holds sway with a branch of independents that are hawks on foreign policy, pro free trade, centrist on social issues, and pro civil rights and environment.

We could say he has more sway with Dems and Ind than Oprah, but his real push was Republicans (25%).

He has sway with voters who want to keep the American army in the middle east as long as possible, as security guards for Israel.

Polls don't matter anyway because as long as elections are RIGGED and STOLEN, these same motherfuckers will continue to stay in power no matter how close to zero their approval ratings approach.

First off the polls are irrelevant. Secondly Lieberman won't be going anywhere until Reid, Schumer and Pryor are shit canned. Those 3 men went out their way to protect him from Lamont's challenge and did everything to create the public perception that Lieberman was still a Democrat even though he's not.

The rot is in the Democratic party and until thats recognized Lieberman isn't going away.

In terms of support from independent voters, its a fiction. Lieberman's base is a mix of working class hard core Bush Repugs and upper class Democrats and Republicans.

Funny thing is that once your reach the upper class folks from both sides benefit from Bush style economic policy. This is why we get nothing but silence on economic issues from liberals.
