Dionne Flattery
Compare this column from way back in early November, to E.J. Dionne's column today.
In all seriousness, this is a good thing. Imitation is the best form of flattery, right?

The nugget here is that Edwards is consistently tagged "anti-corporate" by centrist (i.e., shifted way to the right)news outlets like NPR and Washington Post. And don't forget "some think he (like Huckabee) is too 'strident'."
This is perfectly analogous to the misuse of the term "antiglobalization" to refer to concerns with the corporate-statist manipulation and exploitation of the inevitably and increasingly interconnected global economy.
Who cares about dionne.
Anyway, the thing with global economy is that there has ALWAYS been a global economy. It is now being USED as an EXCUSE to perform BLATANTLY political things that we often term as "globalization." It is used to make BLATANTLY political things seem like they are just part of nature. For instance, they say no universal healthcare cause we live in a global economy. Well eff that: we have always lived in a global economy. Just cause we continue to do so does not mean you can use it to push your rightwing agenda. But the rightwingers just march on and say that they are inherently right cause its a global economy! We can do whatever we want poltically now, cause its a global economy, and everything we rightwingers do is not politcal, but rather a natural development in a world of rapid change.
Total BS. There has always been a global economy and you cannot just say one day, arbitrarily, that since it exists that one's economic agenda is inherently jutified.
