Yes, That Newt Gingrich
The Democrats are so drunk off power, so insulated in Washington and therefore so out of touch with reality, that they are actually gushing to reporters about how wonderful and bipartisan Newt Gingrich is - yes, that Newt Gingrich:
"Newt Gingrich is a great thinker who is trying to find a way to bridge the gap between Democrats and Republicans, and that's a good thing," Sen. Charles Schumer (D-NY) said.
If Democrats believe Newt Gingrich is "a great thinker" and the new face of bipartisanship, then we know just how far to the right the political system has shifted.

Dear Dave,
What is really disgusting about Rahm Emmanuel and Chuck Schumer is that I get the feeling they actually run Capital Hill. They are the ones setting the agenda. They decided not to persue drawing down the Iraq Occupation or investigate grounds for impeachment against Bush and Cheney. In fact they insisted on the Democrats going out of their way to cut backroom deals with Bushco over new "Free Trade" agreements and "Comprehensive Immigration Reform", all designed to destroy what remains of America's working and middle classes.
Emmanuel and Schummer are nothing more than Bill and Hillary's captains keeping an eye on the store until the next Clintonista regime is installed next year. I get the feeling that Pelosi and Reid are merely sockpuppets.
Last what really sickens me is that the narcissitic clueless bourgeois major netroots organizations and blogs do not say a word while the Democratic party continues to sink further into a cesspool of corruption.

Truly revolting, Rahm and Schumer praising a authoritarian prick like Newt, a guy who is so bad most Republicans won't be caught dead with him.
What is really disgusting about Rahm Emmanuel and Chuck Schumer is that I get the feeling they actually run Capital Hill. They are the ones setting the agenda.
I tend to agree, considering that Schumer is the chief moneyman in the Senate, he probably does give Reid his marching orders. The same goes for Rahm and IMO Hoyer in the House. Pelosi is so laughably weak there is no way she really runs the House.
As far as the netroots and liberal blogosphere are concerned, they are truly a pathetic lot of white upper class losers and party hacks. Its all a game to these clowns. They don't give a rats ass about about repairing the nation and putting a muzzle on corporate power. Bunch of bubble kiddies.
