Bernie Sanders On Fair Trade
Just a quick note to follow up on my column about CAFTA - Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), my old boss, has a great diary up at the Huffington Post about his recent trip to Costa Rica, the upcoming vote down there on CAFTA, and how the right-wing attack machine has unloaded on him for pushing fair trade.

Discussion
We need more Progressive Independents just like Bernard Sanders for this reason alone.
NAFTA, CAFTA We Get The SHAFTA..!
The Costa Ricans too..
You should have seen Sanders on Kudlow's show debating both Kudlow and Armstrong Williams on "free" trade. He handled himself quite well, given that Kudlow was doing more attacking than that Uncle Tom Armstrong was. Sander's hit both of them with enough facts that both were reduced to pathetic spinning.
BTW don't trust either Kramer or Kudlow on stocks or anything else they peddle in regards to stocks. Kramer is all about himself and anything that floats his stocks picks he's a churner. Kudlow is just a WallStreet whore who couldn't care less about honest analysis.
And if you're into looking into what stocks to buy avoid any that is using 'Level 3' gains. Level 3 gains is nothing but accounting fairie dust. Its basically allows companies to legally lie in order to inflate their earnings(think Enron style accounting).
So run away from any company that uses level 3 gains. Cause you're looking at another Enron.
I've been pounding an exploitive trade apologist into the dirt in the comments of this diary over the weekend. Midway down the first page of comments on page one, search for "3rdoption" or "davidkarlsson".
Funny thing about those "free" trade apologists is that they either resort to outright Rovian distortions and reframes or spout some Ayn Randian nonsense.
Though I really feel sorry for the Costa Ricans if CAFTA passes as it is a recipe for corporations to rape their country.
