Reads like a Fortune 500 meetup rather than a Democratic get together. It explains much.

This is the perfect reason to dump the Party and vote Independent. Why settle for all the guck in those two DISEASED parties when you can settle for a clean start all the way?

I'm happy to see that at least the Dems are getting on board one train -- seeing national health care as a competitiveness issue. I'm old enough to recall "What's good for GM is good for the nation." Do we have to lose a GM or a Ford to get the message?

Along those lines, WebMD this morning has a piece about adverse drug reactions being up. More than doubled in the last ten years, in fact.
They included two lists, the first one are the 15 drugs most often linked to deaths, and the second the 15 drugs most often liked to disability or serious outcomes.
Read the lists, they're scary, because if you aren't taking any of those drugs you will have friends and family members who are.
Yet, the FCC pays no attention to the abuses of the big pharma advertisements, and the FDA keeps caving in to the pressures of the pharmaceutical companies to get the drugs out on the market with inadequate testing.
Where's Congress in all this? Taking money from Big Pharma's K-street minions, that's where.
The Democrats need to throw the K-streeters out of their offices and get to work cleaning up this mess.
Don't contribute to the National Democratic Party. Send the money directly to the candidates of YOUR choice. Starve out the Republi-lites!

Not surprised to see our leave-no-lobbyist-behind Melissa Bean represented. The "D" after her name, and down on her knees for ANYone with a checkbook, somehow annoints her as a "moderate" in the local press.

It's bad enough that the politicians NEVER read the bills they pass. In fact, not only do the staffers read and write for them, they THINK for them and then prepare them to BULLSHIT. Very few genuine thinking politicians such as Bernard Sanders and Dennis Kucinich exist these days. Well, I'm sure that it has almost always this way ever since our government was formed but these days it's so transparent and yet really sickening to the stomach !

Yet, they get all our taxpayer money, something us working middle/lower class people could never even dream of in this fucked up world !
