Will Wisconsin Be the First State With Universal Health Care?
In These Times magazine has a new report from Wisconsin, where the state senate passed the most comprehensive universal health care bill that any state legislative chamber has ever passed. As the proposal known as Health Wisconsin moves to the Republican-controlled Assembly, the GOP is trotting out its usual red-baiting claims of "socialized medicine" much like they are here in Colorado in regards to Gov. Bill Ritter's (D) Blue Ribbon Commission on Health Care Reform. Check out the article here.

Discussion
Why aren't the Progressive States Network pushing for public health care in all states? Here in Washington state, we have a Democratic governor and a Democratic Congress, at least for now. Something like that could actually pass here, were someone to just try.
