God, how true! McCain is surely TEFLON MAN. Nothing sticks to him. Don't the Democrats have anyone to stand up and put a stop to this nonsense? There are people who actually BELIEVE this crap! That's the danger of it.
I always look forward to my weekly fix of Tom Tomorrow. Keep up the good work! It has all the insight and satirical humour of The Simpsons, but with more topicality. Great stuff.
of course, there are also people who believe that Obama will bring change too. not that obama's supporters keep twisting things to their advantage like mccain. although they arent much better
That's just it. The Democrats just aren't positive enough. You always feel they're in the corner on the ropes, on the defense, for no real reason. It's time Obama got out there and showed us what he's made of and what he's going to do. He's starting to come across with all the decisiveness and charisma of Al Gore, before he took up doing slide shows for a living. What Michael Moore said about the Democrats and their loser mentality is all too true. All they have to do is make public who McCain and Palin's friends are. That can't be too hard to do.
Just out of curiosity, why do they call McCain a "maverick"? His voting record is as solidly conservative and pro-Bush as one could wish. I fail to see how conformity to the Powers That Be is a maverick quality.
And doesn't the very concept of a "maverick conservative" raise any eyebrows? Wouldn't that be one who rebels against the traditional by supporting the status quo? Orwell was right - the Age of Doublethink is upon us. He was just a couple of decades off.

This whole maverick fiction is another case in point, that shows that Obama just isn't positive enough. Why doesn't he just blow this bollocks out of the water once and for all? What is all this crap about Palin knowing foreign policy because she can see Siberia on a clear day? Surely they know the wisdom behind the saying, "If you say something often enough, people believe it as the truth."
Why is Obama standing by while Hillary supporters get all this publicity for turncoating? Why doesn't he counter by having Hillary supporters support him publicly? Why can't he cut a deal with Hillary, so that she'll rally the troops?
And why, oh why, is all this Republican distraction being covered so widely in the media? And all this while the Democrats stand idley by. All they have to do is declare publicly who the real supporters of the Republicans are, and keep hammering it home. That's the real issue of this election. It's almost as though the Democrats are in collusion with the Republicans to let McCain win!
As they would say in England: "Get your finger out Obama"!

i would hope obama will make mcsame look like a fool in the debates. prolly won't matter tho, carter crushed reagan in the debates, reagan crushed carter in the election. people are quite stupid actually.
