  Does it matter who runs? With the Congress split evenly down the middle, the Supreme Court voting on the basis of political ideology rather than law, the state governments and the general population cut out of the national policy process entirely, and the bulk of the bureaucratic managers having been appointed under George Bush the First?

  Nothing can be done. The election is a pointless sideshow. McCain will be the minion of the same forces that Dubya serves, and Obama will be a hopeless butt-kisser.

  Does anyone really object to a Constitutional Convention now? With "No Undeclared Wars" and "No Spending More Than The Government Makes" being the top items on the agenda?
