Congratulations Mother Jones!

Yesterday I received the newest issue of Mother Jones magazine - a special issue on The Election. Always lots of great stuff. I have been a subscriber for a very long time, have always learned something important, and noticed that the current issue is their 250th issue. Check them out at www.motherjones.com. Full disclosure - managing editor Liz Gettelman, a former college basketball star, is a regular participant in one my pick up basketball games.

Of course, a big number like that made me think about how many issues CREDO/Working Assets has produced - we call them phone bills, but they are packed with political actions, donation information, progressive books, etc. We issued our first bill in June, 1991, so our August bill makes us 207. But since we publish monthly, and Mother Jones is bi-monthly, we are catching up. I will send a free ice cream coupon to the first person who can accurately calculate the month in which we catch up.
