    Bush's Last Budget

One has to say that this is a president who knows his priorities! In the first $3 trillion dollar budget proposal, Mr. Bush increases the military budget to over $500 billion, the highest level since World War II when adjusting for inflation. And this is without taking into account the hundreds of billions of our money Mr. Bush will be spending for occupying Iraq. All this, only a few days after a State of the Union address where he promised to put the nation on a path back towards the balanced budgets he inherited - but of course the actual budget shows deficits jumping back up for the next several years. Would anyone like to bet that the mainstream press will not compare the speech with what Mr. Bush actually does?
