What's your CREDO?
In his post on why we changed our name, Michael Kieschnick talked about what we believe in.
What do you believe in? And what should our next president believe in? You can share your credo below or at our new youtube-powered site, whatsyourcredo.com.

it's not up yet, but i submitted my credo. it has to do with a president that's willing to order beer by the pitcher rather than the bottle. and yes, it may also be a plug for Drinking Liberally (www.drinkingliberally.org), but there's a real political philosophy there...once it gets uploaded, let me know what you think.
The right has been so successful at defining individualism as the ultimate good, and arguing that government only interferes with individual achievement. Which is unfortunate, because they're dead wrong. My credo is that individual achievement -- and there's certainly no shortage of that kind of brilliance in the world -- is made possible in large part due to institutions we build together, whether it's public schools, hospitals, police and fire protection, and even the roads we drive (or even better, bike) on. So we should be working to improve our schools, fix the healthcare system, conserve our natural resources, and all of the other things that make is possible for everyone to rise to their full potential.
I don't have a Credo, I think. Too bad that Critical Thinking has become a lost science.
