Add the Bush Countdown to Your Site
Just copy and paste the HTML below to add the Bush Countdown to your site:
Hi, I do most of the site design for credoaction.com.
While we were developing the site, I watched the Bush Countdown go from the 460s into the 440s and now as I write this, the 420s; as it turns out, it's really exhilarating to watch that number shrink.
Today I made some small changes to it that I'm really excited about. I added the "add to my site" link underneath so that anyone can come here and add it to their own web page. It's easy! Definitely feel free to do so. And then if you want, tell us about it in the discussion area below.
But most of all, enjoy the countdown!

tomorrow, i'm going to give thanks that Bush will not be president after jan. 20, 2009. no matter what.
As will I.... But I gave thanks in '68 when Johnson declined to run, and again in '74 when Nixon resigned, and in '88 when it looked like we had seen the last of Reagan, and each time I never imagined that what was soon to follow would be even worse.... Do I see a pattern here?
Hi Ben - thanks for the counter! I've added it to my site too. I did want to let you know that it appears to be slightly too wide for the Typepad sidebar of my blog (in Firefox and IE7) - you can see the effect here.
But I'm still thrilled to have it. Thanks again!
This is great. But doesn't work in Wordpress for some reason...any ideas?
it's a great widget, and i'd love to use it, but it appears 'cut & paste' doesn't work for my MySpace account.
what change is needed in the code?
I also posted this at the 2008/01/only_a_year_to_go.html page, but there's a typo in the copy - paste code. "widgets.js" should be the singular "widget.js".
It works fine for me in my WordPress blog. I put it in the sidebar text widget. I changed language=javascript to type="text/javascript" (I'm picky), and I put quotes around the attribute values and commented out the link tag so it would validate.
P.S.
Although the Bush term may end, I've heard some say that there will be another "terrorist" attack before the term runs out and Bush can declare Marshall Law to continue his Presidency.
A scary thought, let's hope it's only paranoid musings.
And of course if the Legislature doesn't ensure trustwothy voting, the election results could be indisprovably hacked (yet again?). It only would take the manipulation of a relatively small number of votes in a few Florida districts to change the outcome. Distract attention by an Ohio red-herring and have the MSM poo-poo conspiracy theory and there it is. More of the same.
I am having the same problem, I think, with Firefox and the widget behavior. My site is done with iWeb. Please let me know if there are any fixes. I would LOVE to have this on my site!!
can yall please make this widget work on myspace?
please!
it would be an excellent way for millions of people to see it and also I would LOVE to see it every day!

I would like to put this on my blog but I can't figure out how to make it work...
I tested this out on blogger/blogspot yesterday.
It should work if you get rid of the .css part of the script. Try this:
<script type="text/javascript"
src="http://credoaction.com/widgets/widget.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">WriteBushCountdown()</script>
