Hail To The Petraeus?
It seems that Gen. Petraeus has expressed some interest in running for President:
The US commander in Iraq, General David Petraeus, expressed long-term interest in running for the US presidency when he was stationed in Baghdad, according to a senior Iraqi official who knew him at that time.
Sabah Khadim, then a senior adviser at Iraq’s Interior Ministry, says General Petraeus discussed with him his ambition when the general was head of training and recruitment of the Iraqi army in 2004-05.
“I asked him if he was planning to run in 2008 and he said, ‘No, that would be too soon’,” Mr Khadim, who now lives in London, said.
General Petraeus has a reputation in the US Army for being a man of great ambition. If he succeeds in reversing America’s apparent failure in Iraq, he would be a natural candidate for the White House in the presidential election in 2012.
Yeah, that's just who we want in charge. Oy.

A few months back the same shit heads wanted George Allen for President remember him, that racist douche bag moron..what was it "Macaca..?"
So now it's Petraeus, they are so desperate and have no idea what skills it takes to be a great real President..
H.L. Mencken said as much that as we dumb down the public we dumb down the President's as well..
Have you noticed the reverence with which the Bush administration always speak of Petraeus? Bush always spoke of him as GENERAL DAVID Petraeus. Always his full name, spoken in slightly hushed tone. Never has he been referred to with any kind of shorthand. Never just Petraeus. Did he really think we needed his full name, like we were going to confuse him with someone else? I understand that spin comes from the White House. But, all the mainstream media types blindly picked up the same habit. They always referred to him by his full name. Never just his last name. They left him up on that pedistal. They never attempted to bring him down to the level of a mere mortal. They use challenging questions to the people they want to deflate, but sanctify people like Petraeus.
Petraeus for president? LOL!
The last general I thought would be presidential material turned his back on the people and went to work to lie for the Bushiato.
This general is already lying for the Bushiato, why the hell would anyone who has an IQ above Dubya's (in other words the majority of people) vote for him?
Is hubris a requirement for membership in the Republican party?
