Failure is Contagious

One quality of the Iraq quagmire: everyone gets to share in the failure. The architects of our invasion, the executors of the Occupation, the liars who led us in and the spineless saps who let it happen...and now there are 15 new failures to add to the list:

Iraq has failed to meet all but three of 18 congressionally mandated benchmarks for political and military progress, according to a draft of a Government Accountability Office report. The document questions whether some aspects of a more positive assessment by the White House last month adequately reflected the range of views the GAO found within the administration.

Someone had an exit strategy. Right? Right???
